Well, you already know I have...though not as much in recent years as when I was a child, sadly. But it holds wonderful early-childhood memories! My grandparents had an apartment there that we used to stay in once a year or so when I was small, and I remember the smell of crepes frying in butter and brandy (possibly my earliest scent memory), trays of baklava dripping with honey from the Turkish bakery, and the momentous day when my mum convinced me to give my beloved pacifier up to a pair of local Siamese cats.
I remember staying there as a teenager with a childhood friend, and how we fell in love with lunches of black espresso, frites, and buttery salads dressed with lemon and olive oil.
And more recently, of discovering a delightful Moroccan restaurant in Le Marais with my Dutch friend, and photographing the ceilings at Galleries Lafayette.
Oh, my, so many memories!
