100 Abandoned Houses of Detroit is a photography project by Kevin Bauman. Such beautiful houses, forgotten and destroyed...I wonder what their stories are and who once lived there? Some of them I would love to have enough money to purchase and fix them up into the grandeur they once had, to give them back their lifes....

I'm from St. Louis, Missouri and there are quite a few old turn of the century brick houses that are left to rot there, too. :o( Don't know why the city wouldn't buy them up and repair them (to resell or to turn then into some sort of museums). Perhaps there are too many of them?
I like these older houses, too. They are a lot more interesting looking than the modern block houses that all look the same. :o)
