Very beautiful painting! I love watching those sea gulls at the waterfront. Don't know why, but they fascinate me to no end.
I've seen some crazy video clips where these birds would steal potato chips from grocery stores and stuff. Guess they all have a bit of a 'pirate' in them, ay? :o) The ones here in San Diego are very adept at stealing food right out of your hand. And then when they had swallowed your lunch, they'd amuse themselves by doing this hang-gliding in the wind over your head... Totally outrageous! ;o) If only they can sing like a wren, they'd be the perfect birds, I say.

I really love sea gulls too - and would love to watch them NOW, sitting at the beach somewhere in the sun...that would make my week MUCH MUCH better ;o) But today it is the last working day, tomorrow we have a holiday and the friday is in bigger companys a free day than - so I am looking forward...
